IRONMAN! (IRONWOMAN)

Lake Placid  July 24th 2011 was a day I try to remember. 140.6 miles, 15 hours, 44 minutes and 30 seconds. This was a hard fought goal I needed to do to give me courage to overcome hard and difficult times with my illnesses. Three years ago I was on the verge of  "exiting the planet". Yikes! Yes, a 52 year old athlete with a terrific family,  friends and life but challenges of any kind had been getting worse and worse and I did not care. It took several eye opening moments of near disaster...ah, more on that story later... COURAGE.
